Blue Origin, LLC is Hiring a Manufacturing Process Engineer II Near The ONeill Building (HQ), WA

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists and engineers, you will champion and develop manufacturing process requirements and standards for the company. Embedded in the manufacturing organizations, you will help develop and support standards, processes, tools, and specifications around design for manufacturability, process development and execution, communication, training, and documentation. Additionally, you will act as a negotiator between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests in the pursuit of organization optimization. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of manufacturing process creation, testing, and analysis. Responsibilities: Partner with multi-functional teams to develop, document, and train on manufacturing processes Convert and expand area best practices into company wide standards and specifications Build tools to drive design for manufacturability and assembly (DfMA) into products Champion producibility into the gated review procedure by crafting artifact templates and guidance Acting company wide expert on the processes and standards supported Qualifications: Bachelors of science in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience. Experience in process definition, development, deployment, and qualification Proficiency guiding technicians and engineers through process development and execution as an acting process expert Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and with humility to customers Strong coordination and project management skills to track, manage, and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks Outstanding interpersonal skills that foster positive professional relationships. Utilization of lean manufacturing methods for problem solving Proven understanding of common fabrication and integration processes including machining, welding, sheet-metal bending, lifting/rigging, assembly, inspection, etc. Focus toward world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication Passion for spaceflight and space exploration Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: 4 years of professional engineering experience Familiar with applicable industry standards Excellent technical writing, grammar, and presentation experience Experience with risk assessment, management, and mitigation.
