As part of a hardworking team of specialists, you will be responsible for performing complex accounting functions consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including performing month-end, quarterly, and annual closing activities and financial reporting duties. In addition, you will own the inventory cost accounting system module close, accruals, adjustments, reconciliations, variance explanations. You will also document accurate and timely monthly close activities, accruals and other journal entries, and inventory and expense analysis. You'll also be the subject matter expert for inventory cost accounting. You will work closely with management to design and implement approved inventory cost accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, Government Accounting Standards and federal and state tax requirements. Key to success in this role is actively driving process improvements, identify and lead projects to streamline and automate manual workflows.
