Position Summary

At Blackburns, we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to our staff and retaining our valuable employees. We are seeking a clinical support representative to assist our sales and customer service departments. As a clinical liaison your responsibilities will be to help our staff, patients, and referring physicians get the necessary medical supplies to their patients. We are looking for support in the following areas: urology, ostomy, wound, enteral, trach, and diabetic supplies. Blackburns services a variety of patients throughout PA, WV, and OH. Our patients needs are our top priority.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide the best service to our patients
  • Triage and set up new patients consulting on supplies, documentation and further medical regimens
  • New patient follow up and data collection
  • Help to increase Sales in the targeted areas: Urology, diabetic, wound, trach, and ostomy supplies
  • Work with the Med Surg team to assist in identifying areas we can increase referrals from physicians, outpatient facilities, home health, and long-term care facilities.
  • Provide education to our CS staff when requested
  • Provide education to our referral sources when requested
  • Help increase sales in the targeted areas: Urology, Diabetic, wound, ostomy, and trach supplies
  • Help customer service with follow up with physicians and patients
  • Prospect to new and existing accounts by phone and email.
  • Recommend supplies that meet the clinical need and follow the insurance guidelines for our patients.
  • Diabetic consultation programs
  • Medical outcomes information collection

Skills

  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Skilled in MS Office,
  • The ability to organize, prioritize work, multi-task, work independently, and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in specified area
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Experience & Education

  • RN Nursing degree
  • 2 Years experience
  • High degree of proficiency in, MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications, strong familiarity with medical terminology
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail
  • Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
  • Must be authorized to work within the United States.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
