You Are:

• Experienced in proposal development and interviews for a range of project sizes and types.
• Comfortable with business development efforts by understanding the local client market and participating in professional organizations.

• Prepared to assist the Sr. Project Manager in reviewing agreements.
• Ready to support the Sr. Project Manager in establishing project team and staffing requirements consistent with contractual obligations.
• Excited to leads "Kick-Off" meeting(s) to convey scope, tasks, and budgets to team members.

You Will:

• Manage the day-to-day activities for projects of varying complexity and coordinate with internal and external multidisciplinary team members to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
• Manage project communication and deliverables to ensure the highest quality of documentation and professionalism.
• Delegate tasks and lead the team in developing design criteria, performing analyses, and preparing design documents on a wide range of project types and sizes.
• Ensure each project meets Quality Control/Quality Assurance requirements.
• Approve and certify deliverables as the Engineer of Record.
• Lead client and stakeholder presentations.
• Monitor project financial performance and establish/update project staffing requirements to meet project’s financial goals.
• Participate in monthly invoicing of projects and tracking accounts’ receivables.
• Collaborate with Senior Project Manager and Senior Technical Engineer to strategize successful project delivery, financial performance, and risk mitigation.
• Lead construction administration activities including resolving construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
• Oversee the close-out documentation process with contractors, clients, and agencies.

• Lead the close out process internally, including identifying lessons learned to be relayed to staff members.
• Assist in the authoring of project descriptions and resumes to be incorporated into marketing materials.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with team members and clients.
• Mentor, train, and provide oversight to staff members.
• Create and enforce the application of TERRA standards and guidelines.
• Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and candidate selection process.

You Have:

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or related fields
• 8-12 years of Civil engineering or Site Development experience
• a Professional Engineer (PE) License in Illinois (required)
• Additional credentials preferred (i.e., CFM, CPESC, ENV SP, LEED AP, etc.)
• Active participant in local professional association events/educational sessions
• The ability to exercise good engineering and leadership judgment.
