The Opportunity: We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant Lead to join our team on a full-time basis. This role requires 40 hours per week, requiring some evening shifts and rotational weekends. The Clinical Lead focuses on leading, coordinating and implementing patient care efforts and staffing support for a clinical sub-team in the division. The Clinical Lead maintains effective relationships among physicians, patients, and staff by leveraging clinical and operational leadership skills. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care which may include checking patients in, administering vaccines), complete MA-level visits, performing EKGs, assisting/chaperoning procedures, and other ad hoc tasks from the Medical Director and Office Supervisor. 

• Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the clinical sub-team, establishing effective and efficient operations in accordance with Vanguard Medical Group standards.

• Assists the Office Superivos with hiring, orientation, training, and total performance management.

• Coordinate clinical staff and workflow; including delegating assignments and monitoring effectiveness to ensure best practices within the organization. 

• Assist with the staffing requirements for the sub-team including evaluating staffing needs and participating in the hiring process.

• Update clinical staff on policies and procedures essential for their roles.

• Ensure privacy, confidentiality and safety of patients and staff. 

• Track and report inventory and supply needs and work with the other sites to balance inventory. 

• Investigate, document, and assist with resolution of patient complaints within area of responsibility.

• Ensure a positive work and care environment for staff and patients, respectively. 

• Work hand in hand with all providers to improve practice operations and patient care.

• Act as a team player to ensure that quality services are always provided.

• Manage OSHA and CLIA compliance, regulation updates and provide associated in-service training, reports and documentation as needed. 

• Maintain competence in computer and software systems including but not limited practice management and EHR systems. 

• Other duties necessary to support medical practice operations and as assigned by Supervisor(s). 

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certificate or LPN degree required 

• Knowledge of medical office management procedures 

• Proven ability in conflict resolution 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills 

• Displays leadership skills 

• Customer service experience 

• 5 years of experience doing blood draws and vaccines 

• Proficiency in electronic health records system
