Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Make Ready Technician to join our team. The Make Ready Technician will play a vital role in preparing rental properties, including apartments, for occupancy by completing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. This position requires versatility, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of rental properties to assess maintenance and repair needs.
- Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, drywall repair, flooring installation, and outdoor maintenance.
- Install and repair fixtures and appliances, such as faucets, sinks, toilets, showerheads, cabinets, countertops, light fixtures, window blinds, door stops, and locks.
- Maintain outdoor areas by landscaping, tree trimming, and ensuring proper drainage.
- Remove trash and debris from apartments during the make ready process.
- Clean and sanitize apartments thoroughly, including surfaces, windows, floors, kitchen appliances, cabinets, and bathrooms.
- Resurface countertops to enhance their appearance and durability.
- Ensure all finishing touches are completed to enhance the overall appearance of the apartment.
- Document all work performed and communicate effectively with property management teams and tenants.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, drywall repair, flooring installation, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary: Hourly rate ranging from $17 to $20, depending on experience.
