Regeneron pharmaceuticals is Hiring a Dir Global Market Access Strategy Near Sleepy Hollow, NY

Regeneron is rapidly expanding its operations globally, establishing affiliates in major countries across the globe to support the continuing launches of the brand indications. As such, we are seeking a market access director to lead development and execution of market access strategies and tactics in support of the local country market access teams. Specifically, this role will be accountable for working with the global cross-functional team and the local market access teams on the development of payer research insights, the payer value proposition and payer objection handlers, the negotiation strategy and approach, as well as help with training initiatives such as mock negotiation workshops and market access virtual training. The end goal is to ensure the country access teams have a robust strategic plan in place, as well as the resources to execute on that plan, to ensure that the brand achieves the best possible reimbursement and timely access.

A Typical Day Might Look Like the Following:

  • Analyze trends and/or changes in the global market access environment, including competitors, to determine the implications for the franchise and advise the cross-functional team on access and reimbursement strategy

  • Shape value story and development of supporting evidence for indications/ target patient population(s)

  • Advise Clinical Development and New Product Planning teams on product development options and their implications from a pricing and reimbursement perspective

  • Guide the cross-functional team towards the optimal indication launch sequence, pointing out the implications of alternate development options

  • Lead market access projects that support launch-readiness ex-US (e.g. global value proposition, objection handlers, launch readiness tactics, etc.)

  • Identify and coordinate clinical and economic evidence that payers will require to support target reimbursement; partnering with HEOR, pricing, medical and the brand team on evidence requirements and ensure that market access and pricing insights are incorporated into all strategic plans and identifying potential evidence gaps and proactive plans to address gaps

  • Support the Global Brand team on key activities including forecasting and plannings, as well as business development initiatives

  • Develop annual tactical plans and manage budget and projects with external consultancies

This Position Might be for You if:

  • In-depth knowledge of major global payer systems in the EU and Japan. Additional ex-US country knowledge and experience is a plus

  • Experience working cross-functionally to develop pricing, reimbursement and access strategies is greatly desired

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead without authority when required, a strategic mindset, and a track record of working well in a team environment as well as independently

  • Effective communication and efficient decision-making skills

  • Track record of being proactive and innovative in launch planning and execution

  • Experience in leading projects with external vendors for the development of global market access deliverables such as Payer research insights, Payer Value Story Platform, Payer Objection Handler toolkits, Reimbursement Negotiation Guides, Tender and Contracting Strategy, Mock Negotiation Workshops and other market access deliverables required by the global, regional and country teams

To be considered for this role you must have a Bachelor’s degree preferred, advanced degree a plus. 10 years of relevant global market access experience; at least 5 years within a pharmaceutical company; experience at the global level is highly desired. Must have launched products in major ex-US markets within past three years, ideally for oncology, immuno-oncology experience is a plus.
