Distribution Associate - Fabrication

As a member of our team, you'll be immersed in the world of industrial pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) and commercial plumbing products, gaining extensive knowledge and expertise that is second to none.

Distribution and Fabrication Responsibilities Include:

• Works in the fabrication shop to groove, thread and cut pipe.
• Pulls orders for shipment from warehouse inventory including inter-company orders for delivery.
• Verifies the accuracy of all shipments out of the distribution center.
• Pulls all orders for next day shipment before leaving work.
• Stages and prepares orders for shipment while making sure the items are packaged neatly.
• Separates material to shipping points.
• Loads outgoing shipments onto trucks and ships orders on common carriers.
• Ensures all tagged material is double checked before shipment.
• Fills bin areas to keep the products available for pulling orders. Keeps racks and bin areas neat. Also maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse and grounds.
• Organizes pallets and stacks in a safe area of the warehouse.
• Operate forklift to stage all material in the proper area of the warehouse.
• Completes all shipping paperwork in a timely manner and notifies salesperson if the material is short.
• Counts, weighs, measures, or examines packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications.
• Affixes postage on packages and ships motor freight packages and pipe.
• Compares items packed with customer orders and other identifying data.
• Ensures all material pulled is from the location indicated by the RF gun.
• Wraps skids, tapes them up, identifies them, and loads them onto the correct truck.
• Assists with putting both pipe and stock away as needed in correct rack in the distribution center.
• Assists the supervisor as needed on checking trucks, loading pipe and other duties as needed.
• Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors

What We Need From You:

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; strongly prefer at least 1 year of related warehouse, forklift and material handling experience. Distribution and Fabrication experience.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver's License.
• Location: You must live within a reasonable distance from the Distribution Center. This job is NOT remote and requires you to enter the center every workday.
• Physical Ability: You must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform functions such as crouching, kneeling, and balancing.
