Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery to fabricate metal components as specified by blueprints, layouts, and templates.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machines to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize the machining process, ensuring products meet precision specifications.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to identify defects and make adjustments during production cycles.
  • Record and maintain accurate production data for quality assurance and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as a strong understanding of metal properties.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills to ensure accurate measurements and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in CNC operation or machining from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, especially in the metal or lead industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving high-quality output.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new technologies and processes.
