Prestige Tree Experts, based in Jessup, MD, is looking for an experienced full-time plant healthcare technician who can identify and control various tree and shrub pests. We are looking for a motivated individual to support our growing PHC service offerings. Job roles would include working directly with clients to consult on PHC needs and upsell services (commission basis), consulting with our team of 4 arborists to confirm diagnosis and draft recommendation proposals, implementing PHC services for our customers, and keeping accurate records complete with scheduling follow up calls (or visits) for renewal of services. We currently have a skid mounted spray unit for a pickup truck and use the Rainbow Ecoscience suite of chemicals.

Prestige has been in business for approximately 10 years, and currently runs 4 full time pruning and removal crews. We have been gaining some experience in the PHC space for the last several years, and we're now in a position to hire a full-time team member to grow our PHC capabilities.

Qualifications:

Experience identifying trees and shrubs and their various pests (insect, fungal, bacterial, etc.)

Experience performing trunk injections, soil injections, and foliar spraying to manage/control pests

Plant Healthcare / IPM experience is a plus

Sales ability/experience is a plus

Valid MDA Applicators license is a plus
