Salary: $100,000 Annual

Based in Schaumburg, IL, this role will report directly to the VP of Information Technology. The primary purpose of this role is to provide Level 3 support to Bimeda’s IT operations, while playing a key role in the delivery of global IT Infrastructure projects. The successful candidate must be deeply experienced in providing technical support to geographically dispersed enterprise environments. They must have expert-level hands-on experience with Microsoft Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Azure/O365 and VMWare. They must also have a strong grounding in IT networks, specifically IPAM, Firewall technologies and Cisco switching/routing. The role requires the successful candidate to be time-flexible, supporting a 24/7 global operational environment. The role also presents an exciting opportunity for the candidate to work with the latest IT Infrastructure technologies in a dynamic and growing organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Level 3 technical support of Bimeda’s IT Infrastructure environment
  • Technical Lead and implementation of key IT infrastructure projects
  • IT team member that provides 24/5 support-coverage to Bimeda Operations
  • Manage Service Requests and Incidents to Bimeda’s completion standards.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent Infrastructure availability across the Enterprise
  • Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of all Infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyse performance of all Infrastructure and proactively remediate any risk to the IT operation.
  • Monitor the capacity of these systems, to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing demands.
  • Identify and remedy system performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure all Infrastructure, and their management and maintenance procedures are fully documented, and peer presented.
  • Ensure all changes are implemented in accordance with Change and Security Procedures
  • Work with the Business and IT functions in the design and implementation of IT projects
  • Support business initiatives by delivering projects to planned timelines and budget
  • Prioritise and respond to service desk tickets, ensuring that the ticket is kept updated at every step, in order that the business stakeholder is kept informed of the status of their ticket.
  • Documentation and knowledge transfer of all work completed on system updates, changes, and projects

Role Requirements

  • BS in IT/Computer Science Degree or equivalent
  • 10 Years of experience at Level 3 support in an Enterprise environment
  • Time-flexible and ability to travel internationally (No greater than 20%of the contract term)
  • MCSE/CCNA
  • Experienced in team-working to achieve individual and team goals
  • Self-starting individual who is willing to take ownership to deliver the end objective
