n/naka, a two Michelin California inspired modern kaiseki restaurant led by Chef Niki Nakayama and Carole Iida-Nakayama, is currently seekingLINE COOKS and JR SOUS CHEFS to join our small dedicated team. We are searching for hard working, detail oriented, self-motivated, positive team players who enjoy working in a small, fast-paced, fine-dining kitchen. We pride ourselves on our commitment to create an extraordinary experience for our guests and to foster a culture of respect, honesty, and teamwork. We are a hardworking team that loves what we do and we want to find a line cook and a junior sous chef who shares our passion for Japanese food and values a positive team culture.
Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of fine-dining kitchen experience in a Michelin starred restaurant, and/or experience in a Japanese kitchen. Japanese food knowledge and culinary experience is a huge plus.If you do not possess fine dining or Japanese cooking experience, but possess a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and a positive attitude, we encourage you to apply.
