Momentum Behavioral Health is Hiring a Behavior Technician Near Warwick, RI

Momentum, Inc. provides behavioral health services for our clients as we build momentum towards achieving their goals. Our highly trained staff are made up of experts in the fields of Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, and Psychology. We work together to enhance the lives of our clients and we are growing our team!

Momentum, Inc. is looking for qualified candidates who have passion for helping children with special needs achieve their full potential to join our team. Momentum provides services in multiple settings throughout RI including the client’s home, public school and/or our center-based clinic.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, reliable and a team player. Candidates should have behavioral health experience working with children with Autism or related developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing the behavior plan as designed by the Behavior Analyst
  • Working in a public school, home-based or clinic setting providing intensive 1:1 assistance to a child with special needs and/or a classroom of students
  • Implementing treatment, collecting data, behavior management and ensuring safety
  • Collaborating and communicating with the Behavior Analyst and school team as required
  • Providing consistent structure and routine for child throughout shift
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of settings and travel to different work locations

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age and have high-school degree or equivalent
  • Have successfully passed BCI and DCYF background checks
  • Maintain valid driver's license and insured/registered vehicle
  • Candidates with bachelor’s degree or pursuing their degree within the Human Services Field preferred
  • Two years supervised experience working with children with special health care needs preferred
  • Must have a flexible schedule to work school hours M-F

Training

Behavior Technicians receive ongoing paid professional development training. Momentum also provides the opportunity to obtain a national credential, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). The RBT is professional credential offered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Momentum offers free continuous training and professional development required for the job position!
