Are you an experienced and dynamic Staff Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and supporting our financial team's day-to-day operations. This position will provide you with the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage daily accounting tasks, including preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling accounts.
2. Prepare daily cash reports and manage all cash transactions, including ACH and credit card payments.
3. Reconcile all bank and credit card statements monthly.
4. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
5. Process attorney expense reports and ensure all expenses are properly accounted for and reimbursed.
6. Assist with the implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
7. Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems.
8. Participate in financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit documents.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
4. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel.
5. Experience with ACH, credit card payments, and preparing daily cash reports.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical skills and experience in problem-solving.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
