The Biden for President campaign is seeking individuals who are committed to re-elect President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to serve as interns for the Grassroots Fundraising Team within the Mobilization Department.
The Mobilization Department is responsible for engaging grassroots supporters to help re-elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Within that Department, the Grassroots Fundraising Team is specifically responsible for converting and cultivating grassroots donors. During this internship, you will gain knowledge about fundraising through our various grassroots channels including digital ads, email and SMS, mail, merchandise, and web. You will also learn donor retention and cultivation strategies.
We are looking for folks with a variety of backgrounds and experience, and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America. Interns are expected to work 4-6 hours per day, 5 days per week, for a total of at least 20 hours, but no more than 30 hours per week. The recommended hours are 12 PM - 6 PM EST, but schedules can be flexible. The internship is paid at $17 per hour. The duration of the internship will be for 12 weeks, with options for different timeframes/cohorts as outlined below. Due to campaign finance restrictions, interns are not permitted to accept any other payment or thing of value for the internship without explicit approval by the Campaign.
Cohort 1: Monday, May 13 to Friday, August 2
Cohort 2: Monday, June 3 to Friday, August 16
Cohort 3: Monday, August 12 to Friday, November 1
Cohort 4: Monday, August 26 to Friday, November 8*
Key Responsibilities

• Drafting digital content to raise money via email, texting, digital advertising, and web.
• Copy editing digital fundraising content with attention to detail, tone, and voice of the campaign.
• Help with donor research and outreach ahead of vetting.
• Assist with project management tasks, general research projects, organizing files, etc.
• Attending team meetings, taking notes, and distributing them.
• Other duties as assigned.

$17 - $17 an hour
