Position Overview: As an Electrical Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of digital printers at customer sites. While the training period involves minimal travel, the role will eventually require up to 100% travel within the US, Canada, and Mexico to provide exceptional support to our client base.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair digital printers at customer sites.
  2. Provide after-hours emergency support to our customer base.
  3. Perform preventative maintenance services and warranty interventions.
  4. Communicate effectively with customers to identify and resolve issues.
  5. Arrange travel to customer facilities independently.
  6. Generate comprehensive service reports for customers and internal use.
  7. Submit accurate timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
  8. Assist with installations and electrical calibrations as needed.
  9. Conduct electrical PEMs (Service audits) and interventions independently.
  10. Learn and adapt to proprietary software and equipment controls.
  11. Collaborate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and colleagues.
  12. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.

Requirements:

  1. Technical/Trade school or AA degree preferred.
  2. Experience in maintenance of corrugating machinery is advantageous.
  3. Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
  4. Strong electrical aptitude with the ability to interpret schematics.
  5. Familiarity with PLC controls, programming, and process control.
  6. Ability to work well in physically demanding environments.
  7. Proficiency in basic computer skills.
  8. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
