A growing healthcare company is seeking a full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join their team.
The primary responsibilities of the PNP will be leading the health clinic by taking charge of running the entire clinic with a focus on medical expertise, leadership, and holistic patient care.
The PNP is a licensed, registered nurse who has completed advanced education and training in the area of mental health. PNPs provide comprehensive mental health care to individuals of all ages, from children to adults.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and treating mental health disorders
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Providing counseling and therapy
- Prescribing medications
- Coordinating care with other healthcare providers
- A master's degree in nursing (MSN) with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing
- A license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where they will be working
- A license to practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner (PNP) in the state of NY.
- Experience working in the mental health field
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
