The Role

The BeyondTrust Sr Tax Technology Specialist is responsible for tax technology automation processes, scale, and efficiencies. This position will report to the Income Tax Senior Manager and work closely with the income tax and IT teams to streamline and maximize internal operational efficiency through the development of technology solutions and process reengineering.

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and solution-focused individual who can collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.

What You’ll Do

• Innovating processes through new and existing technologies
• Analyze and document business processes
• Update, implement, and maintain business procedures
• Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
• Identify and implement continuous improvements while pursuing operational efficiencies
• Prepare reconciliations for income tax accounts for legal entities quarterly
• Preparation of workpapers for federal, state, and international income tax filings and reporting of income taxes under ASC 740
• Research and analyze existing rules and regulations relating to accounting and reporting of income taxes
• Participation in planning activities to manage the effective tax rate and cash taxes
• Assist on matters related to cross-border transactions and tax reporting
• Respond to inquiries from business units on tax matters
• Other related duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax
• CPA (or CPA Candidate)
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting and/or industry experience focused on process automation
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• OneSource Tax Provision experience is a must
• Experience with tax research
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership capacity to resolve complex problems within a cross-functional environment
• Ability to work well independently, in a team environment, and with remote employees
• Strong sense of ownership and urgency
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Highly motivated, self-starter
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Knowledge of domestic direct taxes
• Follow outlined policies and procedures and make recommendations for process changes

Nice To Have

• Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• Knowledge of NetSuite
• Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, or Power Query
