Betterhealth A Planned Parenthood Partnership is Hiring an Epic Interface Analyst Near Philadelphia, PA

Position Description

The Interface Analyst will lead the development of the required clinical and business interfaces the Epic system maintains with third-party applications and data sources. The Epic interface analyst will be trained in Epic’s interface engine (Bridges and Infor – Cloverleaf) and related functionality in order to design, build, and maintain HL7 interfaces across Planned Parenthood affiliates utilizing Epic. The Interface Analyst will collaborate closely with other clinical, patient access, and revenue cycle analysts to determine interface needs based on utilization of third-party applications and information sources at Planned Parenthood. The Interface Analyst will understand all issues that arise during and after the project for their application areas and must be very knowledgeable about policies, procedures, and business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

»Conducts Health Level-7 (HL7), and other healthcare data interoperability protocols, interface development and dataconversion.

»Builds HL7 interface systemcomponents.

»Works with Affiliates to analyze, design, document, test, troubleshoot and coordinate implementation of HL7interfaces.

»Build, maintain and support Cloverleaf

»Collects workflow information and develop interface specifications and data flowdiagrams

»Provides maintenance, support, and coding enhancements for existing interfaces and applications to meet integration needs between Epic and other clinical and financialapplications.

»Conducts data analysis, data transformation and data load into Epic database for bothpopulation health and new ambulatorypractices.

»Monitors interface and application error logs to overcome production and testingissues.

»Validates interface logic and measure logfiles.

»Creates, modifies and tests message structures, events andconnections.

»Conducts operating system, cache, and Epic Bridges upgrades and executes database backupand recoveryprocedures.

»Creates and maintains scripts for billing and clinicalworkflows.

»Creates and maintains test interfaces.

»Participates in change management, disaster recovery and production supportoperations.

Skills and Qualifications

Required

»Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relatedfield

»Previous experience creating, modifying, and testing message structures, events, andconnections

»Providing maintenance, support, and coding enhancements for existing interfaces andapplications to meet integrationneeds

»Familiarity withEpic

»Familiarity with Infor – Cloverleaf or equivalent

»Has a demonstrated understanding of the role that racial inequity plays in our society and itsimpact on healthcare systems andinstitutions

Preferred

»Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relatedfield

»Strong knowledge ofHL7

»Infor – Cloverleaf Level I certified (or equivalent)

»Prior experience coordinating and troubleshooting HL7interfaces.

»Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, and externalpartners

»Ability to work independently and with professionaldiscretion

»Excellent problem-solvingskills

»Excellent management and time-managementskills
