**This position is 20 hours per week and will be working a varied schedule, starting as early as 5:30am. Requires working some holidays and weekends.**

**The Food Services Assistant II will be responsible for:** - Provides beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.

- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients.

- Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.

- Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift.

- Delivers quality customer service by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.

- Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.

- Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.

- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift

- Maintains high levels of sanitation of all equipment by adhering to department policies and procedures, Health Dept. codes and J.C.A.H.O. regulations.

- Contributes to a positive working environment and promotes teamwork by taking initiative to improve overall quality and exceed customer expectations. Maintains clear communication channels and constructive, sensitive relationships with co-workers, supervisors, patients, customers, parents and all hospital staff.

* High school level of education or equivalent and 6 months of previous experience.

* ServSafe certification preferred.

* Work occasionally requires contact with patients and/or visitors which involves courtesy.

* Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.

* Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.

* Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
