Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is Hiring an Early Childhood Supervisor, Westwood Near Cincinnati, OH

Primary Responsibilities:

Direct Client Service and Quality Effectiveness:

  • Provides direct support services to children and families.
  • Assists manager in implementation of program practices and policies that ensure alignment
  • with licensing standards and SUTQ. Participates in program audits, licensing, and
  • accreditation reviews.
  • Leads the development, implementation and monitoring of Individual Support Plans for
  • children outside of the therapeutic classroom. 
  • Conducts program observations to ensure services are tailored to meet specific child needs. 5. Provides coverage and support in classrooms as needed to carry out daily activities and ensure ratio coverage. 
  • Ensures collection and implementation of DECAs, to include review of DECA data, creating intervention/lesson plans along with preschool staff that increases children’s social emotional skills. 
  • Effectively implements RCFP and other Trauma-Informed practices and strategies for promoting children’s social and emotional competence. 
  • Provides crisis support to children during crisis situations. 
  • Engages families in their child’s care to include pre-assessments, family interviews, support plan development and coordination of referrals for additional supports as indicated. 
  • Plans and conducts family engagement activities, to include parent cafés. 
  • Communicates to manager any concerns or practices that violate CoStars or licensing practices. Participates in quality assurance and process improvement activities as identified.
  •  Attends agency or required ODJFS trainings or professional conferences as required or necessary in order to maintain Child Care Administrator license, comply with professional credentials and increase professional knowledge and skill base.

Work Environment: Exposed to a combination of office, school and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to children with behavior problems. May be exposed to shouting and clients who may be verbally and physically aggressive. May be exposed to blood or vomit and bodily fluids.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be capable of sustained exertion and be able to participate in the physical restraint techniques and exercises required to ensure safety of clients at all times.

Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:

  • · A Bachelor’s/Associates degree in Early Education, Counseling or Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university or early childhood experience and education verified at a CP Level 3
  • · Minimum of four years experience working with children and families
  • · Demonstrate ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • · Have experience working with children with special needs or behavior challenges
  • · Experience providing supervision or leading projects preferred
  • · Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.
