As a Summer Learning Academy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our summer program. Working alongside experienced educators and program staff, you will assist in facilitating engaging activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Applicants must be available to work July 1- August 9th, in one of three available shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY

• Participate in training sessions before the start of the camp season to familiarize yourself with policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Escorting students to classes, lunch, and activities situated throughout the campus safely.
• Assist in the setup and organization of program materials.
• Supervise and engage with students during activities, ensuring their safety and adherence to program rules.
• Collaborate with program staff to address any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within program areas.
• Demonstrate professionalism and positive rapport with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
• Provide assistance to instructors and program staff as needed.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and patient demeanor.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and provide references.

The position pays $18 an hour.
