The Accounting Analyst Inventory will be a member of the Campbells Snacks Division Supply Chain Accounting & Control team. This position will perform inventory accounting and controls across multiple Supply Chain manufacturing and distribution sites for a given geographical region. In this role, the Inventory Accountant will develop a familiarity with inventory accounting and strengthen analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a control-focused mindset, and can work effectively to problem solve with partners across the Snacks manufacturing and distribution network.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Monitor transactions across the supply chain network and facilitate error resolution to prevent disruption in business operations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions

* Coordinate and ensure timely and accurate annual inventory counts including the ongoing training of the warehouse personnel

* Collaborate with operations and distribution centers to identify, research, and resolve inventory discrepancies

* Establishes and ensures compliance of appropriate accounting policies, procedures and practices

* Prepare journal entries for inventory accounting, including inventory reserves, freight accruals, storage accruals, and co-manufacturing accounting

* Participate in other monthly close activities for plants in area of responsibility

* Subject matter expert on SAP inventory transaction flows and data integrity, with thorough understanding of the interactions with Oracle, JDA, and other 3rd party warehouse management systems

* Participate in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives

* Provide support in future system implementations, upgrades, enhancements and integration of additional business units into the SAP/shared Services environment

**COMPLEXITY AND SCOPE**

* Up to 25% travel required

* Ability to collaborate effectively across the company and with third-party organizations

* Demonstrates initiative in problem solving

* Ability to perform data analysis and leverage reporting tools, including customized data tools such as SAP and Advanced Microsoft Excel

* Strong organizational skills and ability to work with moderate supervision

**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED**

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

* 1 3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred

* Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements

* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

* Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)**

* CPA a plus

* Proficiency with SAP preferred

* Proficiency with Oracle a plus

* Prior experience in manufacturing environment with inventory a plus
