Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, managing customer accounts, and optimizing cash flow for the organization.
Responsibilities:
Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and on time.
Monitor customer accounts for payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
Process customer payments in various forms, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
Prepare and maintain aging reports to track outstanding receivables and monitor collection efforts.
Communicate with customers regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and payment arrangements.
Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing-related inquiries and disputes.
Assist in month-end closing processes, including revenue recognition and bad debt provisions.
Maintain organized and accurate records of accounts receivable transactions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounts receivable management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with collections and credit management is a plus.
