Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Lead Month End and Year End Close process
- Reconcile Bank Statements
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain accurate schedules
- Perform Accounts Payable process including entry of credit card expenses
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements, including reporting and analysis for variances
- Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors
- Maintain accounting files
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, CPA or MBA preferred
- 5 years of experience
- Outstanding reporting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Expert in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office applications
- Able to navigate accounting systems, prior knowledge of QBO a plus
Office environment, extensive computer use.
