Beacon Harbor Health and Rehab - Rockwall TX, is currently recruiting for a Therapy Aide with SNF experience to join our in-house therapy department. We are a busy skilled nursing facility, running both inpatient and outpatient therapy programs. We are proud of our beautiful facility and grounds as well as our spacious and well-equipped gym and excellent facility team. As part of our team, you will have exposure to our existing programs in neurology, ergonomics, orthopedics, splinting, manual therapy, and many more. Facility name receives support from Ensign Services who provides a wide range of clinical and operational assistance to over 200 independently owned healthcare operations located throughout the United States. We have been in-house with therapy for many years which gives us a significant edge going into the current payment model changes. These values are the core of who we are as an organization and shared among all affiliated facilities Duties: • Responsible for assisting the Therapists and Therapist Assistants • Responsible for safe and efficient patient transportation • Responsible for patient and equipment set up / clean up • Daily cleaning of treatment area and equipment • Reports any patient concerns or issues to DOR and/or supervising therapist. • Able to obtain basic medical information (blood pressure, heart rate, O2 saturations, etc. Qualifications: Must have prior training in a medical setting One year’s experience in long-term care or related setting preferred Desired Skills: Exhibits a sincere desire to help patients and residents in their rehabilitation process. Superior interpersonal communication skills Strong writing skills required for documentation of the care you provide. Exhibits knowledge and understanding of therapy practice. Possesses and conveys high degree of credibility and integrity. Enjoys team cohesion, is a team player, has a positive attitude and a strong desire to make a constructive impact on organizational excellence.
