Pyramid Healthcare is Hiring a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) - D&A Halfway House Near Tyrone, PA

This position is located at Pyramid Healthcare Pine Ridge Manor (Tyrone, Pa), it is an adult male halfway house.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm with On-Call as Needed. 

Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse plays an essential role in the delivery of treatment at Pyramid Healthcare. The primary function of this role is providing direct nursing services to clients in adult substance-use disorder and/or mental health treatment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Complete initial Nursing Assessment with new admissions, as applicable

· Medication administration

· Knowledge and delivery of detox protocols

· Complete COWS and CIWA scales with appropriate clients per protocol

· Provide medication education to clients

· Coordinate and support Medical providers with assessments and medication management appointments

· Maintain medical equipment in proper working order; maintain confidentiality and proper boundaries

· On call responsibilities. 

· Other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities

None.

Required Qualifications

Licensure, Education, & Experience (All States)

· Current unencumbered LPN license in state of practice required.

· Current CPR/BLS, AED and First Aid required.

· One year of experience in a behavioral health treatment setting preferred.

· Background in Substance Use Treatment and Co-occurring Disorders preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation. Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment. Incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).
