Are you a Veterinary Internist looking for a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and expanding specialty practice? Look no further! Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services (BSVESS) is thrilled to expand our existing team and services.
BSVESS is currently a small 24 hour ER/specialty hospital with full time internal medicine and surgery services. We are renovating a 36,000 sf building that will be open in the summer of 2024. The plan for that building is to expand our internal medicine and surgery services, as well as to add additional specialties including radiology, oncology, cardiology, dermatology, and ophthalmology. There will be a linear accelerator and a CT scanner, and have an on-site radiation oncologist, so medical, surgical, and radiation oncology will be a significant focus of the hospital. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to join a young team of specialists and ER doctors and help to grow the hospital while being a part of the development of a positive work culture.
The hospital places a premium on continuing education. Daily case rounds provide an opportunity for continuous learning. We have in-house education for doctors and technicians, including a technician training program which has successfully kept the specialties well-staffed. We have a successful internship, surgery, and emergency/critical care residencies, which help promote a didactic atmosphere. The internists work a rotating schedule and help to provide ultrasound services when the radiologist is unavailable. We place a premium on collegiality and humor and are proud of the work environment this has created. BSVESS takes pride in fostering a collegial and supportive environment. As a team, we have established our CORE values, so that we maintain our cohesion, collaboration, and sense of fun even as we grow. We value building a team dedicated to excellent medicine, mutual respect, and a positive, cooperative approach to their work.
