**WHO YOU ARE**
As the National Account Manager, you will be highly motivated, dynamic, and results oriented. You will call on the worlds largest Home Improvement retailer, The Home Depot. As a leader you will be responsible for managing the sales and profitability of our Storage & Organization business with industry-leading ClosetMaid brand. You will maximize sales, grow share and develop new channels of penetration. You will drive operational efficiency in supplying product to The Home Depot.
**WHERE YOU WILL WORK**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
* Achieve an annual Top-Line Sales plan for assigned account(s). Deliver Top-line sales on-plan quarterly, semi-annually, and annually
* Lead the planning, creation, and delivery of a comprehensive product line review presentation for each product category.
* Favorably influence product transition costs/investments such as markdown/buyback, displays, returns and logistics
* Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers across functional departments within the customers organization. Act as a liaison between The AMES Companies/ClosetMaid and the national account and take a leadership position on collaborative teams, to include but not limited to, Sales, Channel, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Store Service, Information Technology and Product Development
* Assist the VP of Sales in the creation and tracking of the annual sales forecast as well as subsequent monthly revisions for the assigned National Account(s). Communicate key initiatives that could impact the ability to meet the established forecast. Attend and actively participate in monthly forecast meetings
* Use store visits, data resources, and informal networking to gain a strong working knowledge of the competitions growth strategies including pricing, merchandising, and new products.
* Communicate the competitive information internally to the appropriate people/functional departments
* Communicate pro-actively and be the go-to resource throughout The AMES Companies organization for information on key customer initiatives. Serve as the voice of the customer
* Manage category-wide initiatives and rollouts as needed on behalf of assigned national account(s)
* Apply a basic understanding of financial measure to achieve favorable outcomes
* Provide direct and well-articulated descriptions of opportunities and issues to the VP of Sales and The AMES Companies
* Propose effective solutions that are based on experience and financial favorability
* Assume a leadership role within the National Account Manager team and manage / supervise direct reports
* Investigate and report back on process improvements without being prompted
**REQUIREMENTS**
* Bachelors Degree is required; an MBA is preferred
* Minimum of 5 years of business experience with 2 years of national account management experience is required; previous experience supporting The Home Depot is strongly desired
* Intermediate level proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
* Possess a working knowledge of the assigned National Account(s) as well as a strong working knowledge of SKU level sales performance
* Ability to analyze market conditions and competition as well as develop strategic responses to opportunities
* Possess a strong understanding of Marketing, Operations and Finance as well as a mid- level understanding of the financial metrics that drive success for the business unit
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to negotiate win/win solutions in line review situations as well as day-to-day to achieve maximum results with the assigned National Account(s)
* Ability to sit-in for the respective Sales Director if needed in the presence of upper management
* Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise
* Must have supervisory skill to manage direct reports
* Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50-60%)
