The HALT COVID Ambassador will be responsible for assisting with the core research project for the Louisiana Community Engagement Alliance Against COVID-19 Disparities (LA-CEAL), funded by the National Institutes of Health to address vaccine willingness, access, and equity, and promote inclusive participation in clinical trials. Responsibilities include amplifying LA-CEAL mass media activities in partner organizations (e.g., health clinics, churches, community pharmacies), serving as a liaison to the LA-CEAL Speakers Bureau to support partner and community events, and accelerating the dissemination of LA-CEAL print materials among partners and communities. The HALT COVID Ambassador will conduct targeted outreach to community members to increase vaccine uptake and equity while linking community members to LA-CEAL resources. Identifying opportunities for and implementing site-specific "pilot projects" to support the goals of LA-CEAL and our community partners will be a vital part in the role of an Ambassador.
