Bass Pro Shops is Hiring an IT eCommerce Business Analyst Near Springfield, MO

The IT eCommerce Business Analyst works with stakeholders to extract, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes for eCommerce related systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Decodes and converts information based on business requirements and provides relevant path for delivery.
Position Responsibilities :
  • Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements from business users.
  • Analyze, document, and improve workflows, processes, and standards.
  • Understand business process management and business requirements of the customers and translating them to specific software requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams to deliver functional requirements including UX designs, development tasks and interface designs.
  • Educate process stakeholders on how to identify and solve process challenges through the simulation of different scenarios, analysis of performance metrics and advanced optimization techniques
  • Act as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams.
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with IT and business partners to ensure processes are integrated to support expected customer service levels.
  • Train and mentor other Business Analysts as assigned.
  • Prepare and lead presentations as requested.
  • Research or prototype new tools and/or technologies.
  • Assist with other projects as necessary to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the teamwork.
  • Lead internal teams/task forces on initiatives as assigned.
Position Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is required. ITIL Certification, M.B.A. or other advanced degree in business is desirable.
  • Functional expertise in relevant eCommerce technologies such as HCL/IBM WebSphere Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris and Oracle Commerce Cloud.
  • Experience with enterprise OMS (Sterling Commerce, or similar) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing process improvement that leverages technology as part of the solution.
  • 3 years of project coordination or team lead experience
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and strong understanding of SDLC processes.
  • Broad technical knowledge, with a strong understanding of systems development in new computing architectures and environments. Knowledge of relevant technology, tools, databases and middleware is critical.
  • Experience using a variety of process redesigns methods (such as business process re-engineering, value chain analysis, lean Six Sigma or total quality management).
  • Hands-on experience with process modeling, analysis and simulation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment.
  • IT experience in a retail industry environment is desirable.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • MINIMAL - Depending on projects being worked on may require an occasional trip to a Distribution Center or Vendor's site.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Regularly performs computer work and sits
  • Occasionally walks and stands
  • Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :
  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
