Job Description: Analyzes and reports project expenses to determine production costs, cost of sales, or other cost-related performance measures. Ensures that costs are accurately charged to the appropriate department. Researches and resolves discrepancies or variances between actual and expected costs. Provides research and oversight of inventory transactions; implementing corrections, training, and coaching as necessary to team members involved in inventory transactions. Meets deadlines for financial close, forecast, budget, and audit needs related to cost accounting and inventory topics. Provides cost-related data in support of business decisions or for use in financial reporting. Other duties as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Experience and Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably costing in a manufacturing environment Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of Excel and experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems Superior work ethic, self-motivated and strong desire to learn and improve processes Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks on time with limited supervision Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence stakeholders in operational and nonoperational groups. Oral and written communication skills Ability to handle multiple critical priorities with competing deadlines.
