Barrett Petfood Innovations is a family owned and operated premium pet food manufacturer. We are currently hiring a Weekend Raw Ingredient Lead . This position will be responsible for overseeing the raw ingredient department and ensuring the raw ingredient team is properly processing meat products into pet food on a large scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day shift operation of the Raw Ingredient department 
• Welcome and support the onboarding of new hires
• Train team on proper raw ingredient workflow and sanitation procedures
• Provide positive and constructive feedback
• Work with Raw Ingredient Manager on providing disciplinary action as needed
• Work with other department leadership to cover raw ingredient positions when needed
• Confirm current and future schedule to ensure all raw ingredients are on site 
• Understand record sheets and blend stickers and adjust as needed
• Ensure the raw ingredient department is fully covered if there is vacation or employee absence 
• Assist operators with transitioning from one run to another
• Update work requests as needed and notify the Manager of any damaged equipment 
• Clean and safely sanitize raw ingredient department as needed 
• Understand and emphasize FIFO 
• Confirm physical inventory matches our ERP system Plex's inventory 
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure GMP compliance 
• Other duties as assigned by the Raw Ingredient Manager 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to effectively lead and develop team members
• Conflict resolution skills 
• Excellent communication skills with all members of the organization 
• Must be proficient at math 
• Computer and data entry skills
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs 

Hours: 

• Day: 6am – 6:30pm Saturday & Sunday with 1 weekday shift
• Overnight: 6pm – 6:30am Saturday & Sunday with 1 weeknight shift

Pay:

• Day Lead $25.50
• Night Lead $27.00
