SouthernCarlson is seeking a talented graphic designer/marketing specialist to join our marketing team. This position will be responsible for executing a broad variety of marketing functions including print materials, product packaging & digital artwork. This person will work closely with sales, internal departments, and vendors to produce high quality designs in a timely manner.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
•Branding: Adhere to and align with brand guidelines for SouthernCarlson and the various tool & fastener brands owned and/or managed under the SouthernCarlson umbrella.
•Proof reading: Attention to detail and proof-reading skills a must. Copy-writing experience is preferred.
•Print Materials: Create captivating sales enablement flyers, catalogs, direct mail and more. Work closely with requester to define requirements and timeline.
•Packaging: Creation of new and modification of existing packaging designs for in-house brands. Extensive communication and attention to detail required with manufacturers, sales team members, and print vendors.
•Video editing: Take raw footage and create visually compelling digital content for social media. (Knowledge of Adobe video editing software required).
•Signage: Create exterior store signage, vehicle wraps, banners, displays and point of purchase materials.
•Company Use: Design internal forms, letters, business cards and other supporting documents.
•Other projects and tasks as assigned.
You Might Be A Good Fit If You Have:
•Expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
•Attention to detail and strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
•Strong familiarity using Adobe Premiere or Adobe Rush for video creation.
•Proven graphic design experience (Portfolio Required).
•Knowledge and understanding of the principles of design, typography, color theory and print production.
•Experience with packaging design, die lines and print processes is a plus.
•Ability to take creative direction and apply constructive criticism from peers.
•Team oriented with ability to flex in support of timelines and assist peers as needed.
