Balance Health is the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice, and we continue to grow rapidly throughout the US. We have an immediate need to hire an experienced Senior Accountant. This is a fully remote role open to candidates in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, NC, TX, UT, VA, and WA.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The senior accountant will support the accounting function in month end close and other ad-hoc projects. It will report to the Corporate Controller.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Participate in month end close and other tasks described below, including but not limited to:

- Accounting for liability insurance policies, including malpractice and general liability insurance.

- Coordinate with multiple clinics to ensure adequate information is obtained to close the books properly and timely.

- Accounting for payroll and performance physician compensation accrual calculations and reconciliations

- Accounting for inventory across multiple sites

- Accounting for group debt and reconciling relevant accounts. 

- Prepare monthly allocation schedules and book relevant entries in coordination with corporate controller.

- Act as finance representative on acquisition accounting, opening balance sheet accounting and integration efforts.

- Participate in and support CFO in deal settlement calculations.

- Support in weekly reporting on cash as directed by CFO and controller. 

- Other ad-hoc projects as assigned by finance and company leadership.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: [Education, Training, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Expected Behaviors]

Required:

•  BA in Accounting 
•  7-10 years’ experience
•  Month end close experience.
•  Able to work in a remote environment full time.
•  Able to work independently and support a team. 
• Desired:
•  CPA and/or CMA
•  Healthcare experience
•  Supervising team members

Or any combination of academic education and professional training and development along with applied work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. 

Compensation / Benefits:

• Competitive salary will depend on relevant experience level. The base salary range for this role is $94,000-$120,000.
• Benefit eligibility for FT employees working 30 hours weekly begin the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
• Eligibility to participate in our 401(k) program begins on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
