BakerRipley is Hiring a Program Assistant - East End Near Houston, TX

The Program Assistant provides clerical support to a program or department by performing the duties outlined below as assigned by management. The Program Assistant is a good communicator with both spoken and written correspondence. The Program Assistant is organized, may arrange their own and other's schedules, and completes data entries as assigned. The Program Assistant possesses excellent customer service skills, problem-solving ability, and filing experience.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Processes outgoing and incoming correspondence including mail, email and faxes.
  2. Composes and types routine correspondence.
  3. Organizes and maintains file system of correspondence and other records.
  4. Answers and routes telephone calls including providing appropriate information to customers on program services and requirements. Arranges conference calls as directed.
  5. Coordinates schedules and makes appointments.
  6. Greets visitors or customers and directs to appropriate area or person.
  7. Conducts research, and compiles and types statistical reports.
  8. Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings.
  9. Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
  10. Coordinates supply requests with appropriate staff for assigned program.
  11. Documents required activities in Texas Workforce Commission database.
  12. Creates and maintains accurate logs of pertinent transaction data.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned
COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:
Intermediate skill in Microsoft Windows and Office; able to use computer, and to learn new software.
