Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring exceptional candidates to fulfill various roles across the organization. This role requires collaborating closely with B&D's leadership team to understand their staffmg needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless, positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Since the Recruiter is the first point of contact for most potential employees, the position acts as an ambassador for B&D Industries and is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Job functions for this role include, but are not limited to, interviewing, testing, and referring applicants for clerical, technical, administrative, and managerial positions throughout the company. During the onboarding of new employees, this position will be responsible for organizing the welcome materials, coordinating the setup of workstations, and introducing new hires to the B&D culture. This position must be very skilled and experienced in interviewing techniques, have a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a strong understanding of the company's organizational structure, and an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure along with federal, state, and local laws regarding employment practices. Major responsibilities will include partnering with the HR Manager on recruiting strategies, sourcing candidates for open positions through cold calling, attending job fairs, networking, internet searches, reviewing databases for potential candidates, as well as high school and college recruiting efforts. The Recruiter is also responsible for participating in employee retention and satisfaction efforts, as well as planning/scheduling and facilitating team building events.
Responsibilities
•Partner with leadership team to determine staffing needs and develop comprehensive job descriptions in collaboration with the HR Manager.
•Utilize various sourcing methods ( e.g., job boards, social media, networking, referrals) to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
•Conduct initial screening interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and fit for the role and company culture.
•Coordinate and schedule interviews with leadership team and key stakeholders.
•Manage communication with qualified candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and feedback.
•Conduct reference checks.
•Negotiate job offers and coordinate the onboarding process for new hires.
•Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to recruitment and employment.
•Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
•Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
•Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
•Work with leadership team to develop role specific interview questions.
•Manage the interview process, scheduling, attending, and conducting of interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
•Collaborate with the President, hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the off er process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
•Attend and participate in college job fairs and networking events as needed.
•Collaborate with the HR Manager and HR Generalist in employee retention and teambuilding activities
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development and/or equivalent industry training
•Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree
