Join our Engineering Excellence Financial Operations (FinOps) team as a Data Engineer, where you'll harness your analytical skills and passion for data-driven solutions to play a pivotal role in our operations. In this position, you'll construct robust data pipelines to develop dashboards that deliver actionable insights into our infrastructure costs and usage patterns. You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, integrating essential business metrics with detailed cost data to drive financial accountability and technological advancement.

What you’ll do as a Data Engineer (FinOps)

• Work with the product owner and Engineering Team to build high-quality, production-grade data pipelines, ELT processes, and dashboards to provide actionable insights into infrastructure cost and usage patterns that will inform strategic and operational decisions. 

• Analyze cost and usage patterns of various systems that span across multiple clouds and data centers. 

• Understand the cost breakdown of infrastructure, cloud services, and other resources used by the applications.

• Partner closely with various stakeholders across the organization and integrate critical business metrics with the cost data.

What you’ll bring

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Reporting, Business Intelligence, and Analytics (Snowflake/BigQuery, Tableau/Looker Studio).

• The ability to test, build, and optimize data pipelines, transformations, and data sets leveraging new technologies (Airflow, Python, AWS S3 & Lambda).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $101,600.00 - $152,400.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
