This position is for an Intermediate Oracle EBS Financials Developer who will work as part of a team responsible for enhancing and developing new solutions for an Oracle EBS ERP solution that supports key groups such as finance, reserving, treasury and investments. This position requires the ability to work under your own initiative on delivering end to end Oracle Integration solutions. You will be part of a development team and will be supported by other developers and application delivery leads. Success in this position is based on the ability to work with the business, solution and analyze specifications and translate that into working code. You are expected to coordinate the delivery of services to the Applications Management team while adding delivery capacity as needed for key initiatives. You may work with other groups such as architecture, data governance, infrastructure and other development teams. This role is 65% development and 35% functional weighting. You will be involved throughout the development lifecycle, through requirements analysis, coding, unit testing, system testing, packaging and co ordinating deployments with the Application Maintenance team. Responsibilities As a developer you demonstrate strong coding standards, disciplined development practices and the ability to manage others. You will be involved in investigating, designing and implementing new solutions and/or adding new features and functions to existing solutions, which meet AXIS Capital’s business needs. Design, Build and Test custom components. Executing end to end solutions for critical enhancements and projects of a development team. Provide guidance to team members and review development work. Work with Release Management to ensure compliance with releases protocols. Report to IT management on key activities, status, risks and issues. Identify processes and standard improvement ideas. Interact with Business Leads, Program/Project Management, Application Development and Maintenance resources to drive application improvements. Work as part of an Agile development team. Participate in managing the delivery pipeline, review demand with the business and IT leads. Required Skills and Qualifications Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience working with Oracle EBS Financial applications. Knowledge/understanding of Oracle EBS Financial modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, FAH/SLA. Strong in Oracle PL/SQL development and writing complex SQL queries. Oracle EBS Applications implementation experience. Experience in developing Integrations with third party applications. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate transparently. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Desirable Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or its equivalent with relevant experience. Experience working directly with business end users. Experience with continuous software delivery pipelines. Experience with managing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining highest quality standards. The ability to learn new technologies as required. Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies will be good to have.
