About the Role:

Job Title: Lead UI Developer

Location: Richmond, VA or McLean, VA - Hybrid onsite role

Position Overview:

  • As a Lead Frontend Developer with leadership experience, you will play a key role in leading frontend development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving technical excellence within our organization.
  • You will leverage your expertise in frontend technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, Vue.js, and Node.js to develop and maintain high-quality frontend applications.
  • You will be responsible for providing production support, incident management, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our frontend applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead frontend development projects from conception to delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and requirements.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to design and implement innovative frontend solutions.

  • Develop and maintain frontend applications using Angular, JavaScript, Vue.js, Node.js, and other relevant technologies.

  • Implement state management solutions to ensure efficient data flow and application state management.

  • Provide production support for frontend applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Manage incidents related to frontend applications, including identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and maintainability.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend development trends, technologies, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on Angular, JavaScript and Node.js.

  • Proven experience in leading frontend development projects and mentoring junior developers.

  • Experience with AWS is required

  • Solid understanding of state management concepts and experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex).

  • Experience with production support and incident management, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Salary Range:  The salary for this position is between $120,000 – $130,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
