Essential Functions	Providing counseling to students, including individual therapy, group therapy, family consultations, and crisis referral. Documenting, reporting, and maintaining confidential records and information from counseling-related services including individual therapy, group therapy, family consultations, and crisis referral. Evaluating and developing comprehensive treatment plans for individuals including assessment, diagnosis, coordinating treatment with other professionals, and providing community referrals when indicated. Clinically supervising graduate practicum students; may clinically supervise unlicensed senior staff clinicians. Planning, developing, and presenting outreach presentations, workshop programs, and educational seminars related to mental health issues and available services to students, staff, faculty, and other campus stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Counseling, or relevant field.
Level I - Master's degree
Level II - Master's degree plus 2 years of experience in providing counseling and psychological services.

Level III - Master's degree plus 4 years of experience in providing counseling and psychological services.

License and Certification Requirements:

For social workers, must hold Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) by date of hire.
Licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama is required within 24 months of hire.
For counselors, must hold Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) by date of hire.
Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Alabama is required within 24 months of hire.
