Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of children, with a deep commitment to: Providing high-quality care and education Training and educating college students who plan to be educators Conducting research on child development and the role teachers play Our Assistant Teachers are critical to our classroom success at Harris Early Learning Center! In this role, you will have the important opportunity to help Teachers plan, create, and implement daily programs for preschool learning environments. Depending on the needs of the Center, Assistant Teachers may move around to multiple classrooms to assist. This is a one-year limited-term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funding.
Essential Functions	What You'll Get to Do: Help Teachers plan and implement curriculum for a group of children consistent with developmentally appropriate early childhood education practice. Assist in the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children through safe and structured environments. Participate in modeling best classroom practices for college students who are observing as part of their degree program.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications	What We Need From You: High school diploma Some positions may require progress towards a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. If selected you will be required to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certificate within 60 days of hire, and a TB Skin Test.
