Responsibilities include, assisting patients in frame selection, ordering glasses, frame repairs and adjustments, taking measurements and reading the lensometer when needed, eyeglass dispensing, upkeep of frame boards, submitting claims to vision insurances, insurance follow-up when needed and posting insurance payments. Other responsibilities include reception tasks such as but not limited to, answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling patients, navigate through EHR system. (will train to get candidate familiar with Optical EHR)

Two years Optical experience preferred. Optician license not required although OPTICAL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED . Knowledge of vision insurance plans and medical insurance plans helpful.
