Job Description What you will be doing: Machinist/Die Repair Maintaining and repairing complex dies to ensure uninterrupted production of high-quality steel boxes Monitoring one or various production lines and operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to set up and operate machine tools for outlet box construction Performing precision machining operations, including cutting, drilling, grinding, milling and turning to fabricate parts and components Inspecting and measuring machined components to ensure they meet precise specifications Conducting regular maintenance and repairs on dies including disassembling, diagnosing faults, and performing intricate repairs Specializing in the repair of progressive and compound dies Modifying and adjusting dies for new product specifications and enhancements Troubleshooting and resolving issues with dies to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules Implementing and following rigorous safety standards and protocols, particularly in handling heavy machinery and sharp tools Documenting maintenance, repair activities and machine logs Experience you will need: Machinist/Die Repair Ability to machine and construct tooling to drawing specifications to meet production need Ability to read, alter CAD drawings and blueprints Ability to use manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc. to fabricate process equipment Familiarity with machining a variety of tool steel material and including D2, A2, and copper Associate degree related to Tool and Machining or 3 years of experience as a die maker Experience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes Welding TIG/MIG experience Familiarity with steel heat treating process Must live within 50 miles of the plant or be active-duty military - no relocation offered Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days.
