Associated Health Professionals, Inc – Los Angeles, CA offers an exciting opportunity for a PSYCH LVN in DowneyCA

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care to patients (inmates or court wards), including the collection of specimens and general skin care.
• Provide Intravenous infusion and monitor intravenous therapy.
• Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medication.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure; observe patient's symptoms, behavior and progress; maintain clinical records.
• Assist physicians and registered nurses with a variety of procedures as directed.
• Change routine dressings; provide wound care, including tracheotomy and colostomy care.
• Assist in patient education and rehabilitation; instruct patients in carrying out physicians' orders.
• Assist in scheduling and preparing patients for outpatient clinics; ensure the availability of necessary lab and x-ray results.
• Review patient records; check for and carry out physicians' orders.
• Perform routine EKG'S, CPR, and other necessary tests and emergency actions.
• Provides vacation and temporary relief as required.

Requirements:

1. CA LVN License
2. 1 year of (paid) experience as an LVN
3. 1 year Behavioral Health / Psych experience as an LVN
4. IV certification
5. Current BLS

Position Details:

• EVE Shift 2pm-10:30pm
• 40 hours a week
• Total Hourly: $37.50
• 24/7Staffing Coordinators on duty to staff you.
• Weekly pay on Fridays by direct deposit.
