Astria Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team! This is a full time position with variable hours.
What you get to do every day!
As the Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for p erforming accurate and timely pre-analytical functions of patient identification, blood and body fluid specimen collection, labeling and processing. You will:
  • Performing applicable blood collection technique such as venipuncture and capillary collection.
  • Explaining venipuncture procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process.
  • Preparing the patient for the blood draw.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely pre-analytical functions of specimen collection, labeling, receipt and processing.
  • Upholds laboratory compliance and accreditation through adherence to established department policies and procedures, safety standards and infection control standards.
  • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
Requirements
What you bring to the role:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited education institution
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training Program
  • Upon Hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
  • Upon Hire: Current BCLS certification

Summary
Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. This position is not associated with a union contract.
