Description

In this role you will report to the Lead Mechatronics Applications Engineer and be responsible for:

• Providing support for the development of products, components, specifications, and processes for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Developing and documenting test equipment and procedures for electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Performing analysis, troubleshooting, and testing at both component and systems levels for products in development and production.
• Developing software or scripts to automate testing processes.
• Collaborating with vendors to analyze products for potential integration into new designs and troubleshooting situations or advising on new features or specifications necessary for an application.
• Utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and accurate understanding when communicating with sales, customers, or vendors.
• Interacting with customers to understand product requirements, defining scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work.
• Following and making recommendations to improve processes and procedures.
• Demonstrating technical leadership and project management skills.
• Mentoring fellow engineers.
• Participating in root cause investigations and analyses.

Profile

The successful candidate will have

• 2 years of electro-mechanical experience
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, power meters, oscilloscopes, etc
• Experience with actuators, motors, servo drives
• Servo drive commissioning and troubleshooting
• Strong electro-mechanical problem solving skills
• Experience with brushless DC motors
• Experience troubleshooting controls systems a plus
• Mechatronics/ robotics experience a plus
