We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager who has large enterprise experience to help manage an ongoing global hardware refresh.
IT-for-IT projects - Management of internal resources and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of the following type of projects:
Global refresh of local area network (LAN) and wireless hardware in manufacturing plants and office locations (Cisco hardware)
Global network re-cabling at a manufacturing plants
Global server (Dell) and backup service (Avamar) refresh in manufacturing plants and office locations
Relocation of hardware and/or services withing a regional datacenter to another
Core operating system (OS) upgrades (Win10)
Business projects - Management of infrastructure elements to include deployment of network (wired/wireless)/server/PCs/CCTV (other physical security)/ etc. while partnering with other IT/business/civil works teams) to deliver the following types of projects:
New manufacturing plant build from ground up (Greenfield)
New manufacturing plant build in an existing building (Brownfield)
A new office build
A new warehouse distribution center build
Closure and decommission of a location
ERP upgrades
Plant monitoring system deployments
Required experience
5 plus years of managing projects across a large enterprise, various time zones
Strong competency using Microsoft Project
Preferred experience
Global Infrastructure
PMP certification
Understanding of ITIL preferred
International experience
Objectives
Project Managing implementations and deployments of networks, servers, security, business continuity and/or enterprise software.
The selected candidate will have experience managing multiple projects across multiple geographic locations, ideally having supported Asia and/or Europe
This project manager will work with IT portfolio owners to successfully manage the delivery of multiple IT capital projects using standard project management methodologies. They will possess the skills and experience to lead and manage a team of technical resources while simultaneously partnering with other IT and business teams as well as vendors. PMP certification is strongly preferred as is the ability to create and review for accuracy and adequacy vendor request for proposals (RFP) is a plus for projects that require network cabling.
Expertise in Project Management Principles, process definition, methods, techniques, (MS Project desired). PMP certification preferred, but not required. Ability to identify and categorize required skills and skill sets needed on an assignment.
Ability to develop credible estimates for project work tasks and activities.
Duties
Using documentation of current outstanding work to create a thorough project plan for the Infrastructure Team.
Using documentation of current outstanding initiatives and priorities, create and maintain a high-level Infrastructure Project Roadmap for the Infrastructure Team, representing project importance and best intent timing plans.
Work with all members of the Infrastructure team to determine skills, abilities and current work projects.
Create reports and provide updates to management as to the current status, issues, risks or other information associated with identified projects.
Participate in IT Project Reviews to provide input on techniques, skills and tools for all IT Project Managers.
Contribute input to employee performance evaluations.
Rate $60-$85 / hour Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
