**JOB SUMMARY**

ASRC Construction performs construction services throughout Alaska and in select lower-48 markets. We deliver highly complex construction projects in some of the worlds most remote locations. The Class A CDL Truck Driver/Operator facilitates the delivery of Builders Choice products and materials to customers.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Deliver products and material to customers.

* Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, including gas, oil, water, tires, lights and brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.

* Operate trucks mounted forklift delivery trucks, knuckle and standard boom trucks.

* Pull orders and load materials.

* Obey traffic laws and follow written and transportation procedures.

* Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, chains and spark plugs.

* Responsible for routine maintenance and reporting mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**

* Ability and wiliness to abide by the companys code of conduct, policies and procedures.

* Comply, understand, and support the companys safety culture to ensure a safe work environment.

* Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Must be able to take direction when working with co-workers and supervisors.

* Must have strong communication skills with both customers and co-workers.

* Ability to operate trucks mounted forklift delivery trucks, knuckle and standard boom trucks.

* Ability to work a varying schedule, including holidays and weekends.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Required**

* A valid drivers license & commercial drivers license Class A, with an acceptable driving record.

* Air Brakes endorsement.

* Ability to meet safety requirements.

* Ability to obtain and maintain NCCCO Certification for Boom Truck Drivers, including rigging certification, preferred.

* Ability to meet and U.S. DOT FMCSA requirements for the position.

**Preferred**

* Experience in any one of the above CDL required trucks is preferred.

* Prior work experience as a delivery driver preferred.

* Forklift certification preferred.

* Prior experience with building material supply or wholesale supply preferred.
