RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Front Office Associate to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Front Office Associate, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients in a cheerful, professional, and sincere manner, and performing other duties as assigned. This position is full-time working 40 hours per week; shifts are 9:30am - 6:00pm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (55%) Registration * Greets and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; registers demographic information and processes payment plans and copays * Answers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner * Fields calls appropriately for center associates * Acts as liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams and relays messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information * Maintains front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies and assisting with general office clean up * Orders office supplies as needed * Maintains supply of patient information sheets * Pushes imaging via electronic interfaces * Completes confirmation calls and provides preparation instructions to patient * Faxes reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested (20%) Insurance * Verifies patient's insurance * Pre-certifies all exams with patient's insurance company * Obtains insurance authorization * Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment * Handles release of information requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following Company guidelines (20%) Scheduling * Arranges transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate * Enters and submits patient exam orders * Verifies orders match exam schedules * Schedules referrals and ensures proper authorizations are obtained * Schedules walk-in patients * Processes requests for image orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients * Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians (5%) Performs other duties as assigned Required: * High school diploma or equivalent * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office * 1-2 years customer service experience * Proficient with using computer systems and typing Preferred: * Previous medical office experience * Medical terminology and office background * Insurance knowledge * Bilingual RAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
